Baby Shower

In a few weeks time I will be going to a Costa Rican-married to an irish Baby Shower :o). I decided to bring her crafty presents:

This card/mini album, was a class taught by Jackie during a cyber Christmas Party at Craftsupplies forum last weekend. The pretty folding from the cover was a class taught by Sabrina.

The Poem inside is in Spanish, but I found the translation in English:

A Child's Angel

Once upon a time, there was a child ready to be born

One day She asked God:

"They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God: "Among the many angels, I chose one especially for you. She will
be waiting for you and will take care of you."

Child: "But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, and that's enough for me to be happy. Will I be happy
there?"

God: "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day.
You will feel your angel's love and be happy."

Child: "How am I going to be able to understand when people talk to
me if I don't know the language that they talk?"

God: "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear. With much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

Child: "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God: "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

Child: "I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?"

God: "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her own life."

Child: "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God: "even though I will always be with you, your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me. "

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard. The child, in a hurry, asked softly:

"Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

God: "Your angel's name is of no importance. You will call your angel ...

.... MOM ".

Then I put 2 baby gro's and a little toy dog in this bag. It was inspired in a decorated bag by Gina K

This is a wrapped Baby Girl mini album:

Pretty Bits

I have been getting the teachers x-mas pressies ready. I altered & personalised these lovely wooden suitcases and diaries. Will put diaries inside, a box of handmade cards and a small handcream.

Every year I also like to alter a diary for myself, for 2008 I made this one:

Used Love Elsie papers and I thought it was the prettiest I've ever owned. But today I altered my 2009 one and now I like it better !!!

I used the left overs from Anita's class, which are Prima Papers I think. I even did a bit of crochet. Used my new "Sparkle" mod podge, the bling cant be seen on the pic, but it's gorgeous !!

I had told my crafty friends that this year I wanted to bring my Birthday a month forward. We have a Birthday club and I really wanted to have my B-day cards separate from the X-mas cards. I have recieved 10 so far and believe it or not, something sooo small has made a huge difference in my attitude towards B-day being so close to x-mas. I feel more positive about the festive season this year, and actually looking forward.

These are the master pieces:

Elzybells Stamps !!!

About a year ago I saw the stamp with the Mouse and the Bauble in somebody's blog, somebody from the US, I can't remember who it was. I thought that stamp was mega cute and I wanted it !! But unfortunately at the time, those stamps were only sold through an US company which didn't deliver overseas :( But it was mentioned that those Elzybells Stamps were made in the UK. I tried to find a UK online shop but there wasn't any. The only thing I found was a blog under construction, belonging to Elizabeth, and who was planning to open her online shop. It took a good few months before it opened. The stamps are all super cute, well made and very reasonable priced. Elizabeth is the owner and designer, she is lovely and great at communication and customer service. She also sells the Klin On sticky foam which I find better than the EZ Mount, and she also sells storage cases to keep your stamps in.

I tried to make the stamps some justice with these 2 cards...what do you think? I coloured them with my new Caran D'ache crayons, my new favourites !!! For the girl at the window I also used some liquid applique for the snow and a bit of glitter, papers are from Pink Paislee (Tinsel Town collection). For the mouse one, I also used the Caran D'ache crayons to colour it in, Anita's 3D Clear finish for the bauble, and some glitter on the branches. Background paper is DCWV.

Check the elzybells Stamps you'll fall in love with every one of them !!! But if you want to purchase some, Elizabeth is closing temporarily during December cos she's moving premises, so hurry, order before November 28th !!! And please mention my name, say "Cristina from Ireland recommended these stamps", you might get a surprise :D.

And also, check Elizabeth's blog for inspiration.

Hope you'll fall in love with these stamps as much as I have too !!!

In a few weeks I will be posting more cards using the rest of the stamps I purchased, they are non x-massey.

Some Christmas Cards

I finally finished a batch of Christmas cards for selling. I put them in packs of 6 and decided to put a pic of them a on the back of each pack, so people dont have to open it to see what the rest of the cards look like, this is the pic:

The snow scene is not very clear, but it's lovely, I put glitter in some places.

Yesterday I got a delivery of stamps, from an UK company which is gonna become my next favourite, I can't wait to make some cards with those stamps. I will be posting them here and telling you all about them...you'll fall in love with them too, Im sure. Watch this space !!!
